Barrister Murtaza Wahab while talking to the media at Sindh Assembly media corner said that in the first week of April, second power plant at Thar Coal Project will start the production of electricity adding an additional 330 MW to the national grid. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would formally inaugurate the project on April 10.
He said many people had been making a mockery of those reservoirs but with the grace of God, the government of Sindh had succeeded to realize the project, adding that March 19, 2019 would be remembered as a milestone in the history of country particularly Sindh when 330 megawatt electricity was added to the national grid from that project. He congratulated the people of the country on this marvellous achievement and urged the government to discourage the import of coal to ensure indigenous coal is utilized.
