Kia Lucky Motors starts production

KIA Lucky Motors Pakistan Ltd (KLM), a subsidiary of Lucky Cement Ltd, has successfully completed commissioning of the equipment and recently commenced CKD operation at its plant located at Bin Qasim Industrial Park (BQIP), Karachi.
According to a notice sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the total project cost of the company amounts to Rs 19.5 billion. KLM has the capacity to produce 50,000 vehicles per annum.
The booking of ‘Sportage’ an SUV being KLM’s first model has started from June 30 and delivery will start from first week of August (Rs 4,599,000 for FWD and Rs. 4,999,000 for AWD versions).

The booking of the much awaited economical city car ‘Picanto’ hatchback is expected to start in August and delivery will start from October 2019.
