Relating to electrical, signals and telecom work, in the restoration of KCR, a batch including 6 tenders worth nearly Rs. 50 million has been drifted by Pakistan Railways. The tenders are requested to bid on nine different stops of KCR i.e. from Karachi City to Orangi station involving Karachi Port Trust, Wazir Mansion, Lyari, Baldia, Shah Abdul Latif, SITE and Manghopir stations. KCR Project Director, Ameer Mohammad Daudpota said Pakistan Railways has accelerated the restoration work along the track in order to meet the deadline set by the apex court.
