EPTL Engineers trained at China

A total of 73 engineers including 3 female engineers of Engro Powergen Thar Limited (EPTL) have been trained in China to take over operation and maintenance of newly built 660MW power plant of EPTL. All of these engineers belong to Sindh. The engineers were trained at Yunnan Xunjiansi and Xinji Power plant in China through a series of Classroom and simulator training modules. During the course of their studies the engineers acquired training on simulators as well as real working environment at Yunnan Xunjiansi power plant which operates on coal like Thar power plant. They were trained for 12 weeks covering different aspects of Boiler, Turbine, Electrical, Coal Handling, Chemical & Ash handling. These young engineers will become a part of the engineering team at the two power plants in Thar under EPTL each having capacity of 330MW. Thar Block Il is set contribute its first electron to the national grid by February 2019.
