Work underway on Sialkot industrial heritage museum

Sialkot Industrial Heritage Museum is being established at Sialkot Business and Commerce Centre (SBCC). The objective of setting up the museum is to promote ‘Made in Sialkot’ products and the export potential of Sialkot-based small and medium enterprises.

The rare manufacturing tools will be displayed in the museum with active cooperation of local trade bodies for the interest of domestic and foreign visitors. Most importantly, surgical instruments and sports goods are centuries-old industries of Sialkot and earning $ 2.5 billion dollars per annum through its exports.
Sialkot is the only export oriented city of Pakistan where 99 percent industrial production is meant for exports. The products include Sports Goods, Surgical Instruments, Leather Products, Textile Items, Martial Arts Uniforms and Accessories, Musical Instruments, Knives and Cutlery items and Military Uniform badges etc. They are produced in Sialkot and exported to all parts of the world. Sialkot made footballs, filed hockey sticks, cricket gears and sports wears are used in Olympics, World Cups, Asian Games and other international events.
