Sigma Elektrik Confident of Stronger Growth in Pakistan through Strategic Partnership with Jawad Electric

An in Depth discussion with Özgür Ünlü, CEO, Sigma Elektrik, Turkey

Sigma Elektrik, an internationally recognized manufacturer of low-voltage electrical protection and switching solutions, has been steadily strengthening its footprint in Pakistan through innovation, quality assurance, and strategic partnerships.

Speaking exclusively to Engineering Post, Chief Executive Officer Özgür Ünlü shared Sigma Elektrik’s vision for Pakistan, its partnership with Jawad Electric, and future expansion plans.

Discussing the company’s long-standing relationship with its local distributor, Özgür Ünlü emphasized that Sigma Elektrik views Jawad Electric as much more than a commercial customer. “We have been working with Jawad Electric for a long time and we are highly satisfied with their performance in the market,” he said. “We do not consider Jawad Electric as a client; we consider them our partner. We support each other, and this cooperation has created success for both sides.”

He noted that Pakistan remains one of the most promising markets for Sigma Elektrik due to its size, expanding economy, and increasing demand for quality electrical solutions. According to Özgür Ünlü, the company has made substantial progress since entering the market. “Pakistan is a very big market and a growing economy. When we compare the beginning of our journey with where we stand today, we have achieved serious progress and increased our market share step by step. We believe this share will continue to rise in the coming years,” he stated.

Highlighting the importance of certifications and approvals, Özgür Ünlü acknowledged the crucial role played by Jawad Electric in market development. “We appreciate Jawad Electric for their excellent performance in securing approvals and promoting Sigma products. This is a very important area, and we provide full support on procedures that fall under our responsibility. Their efforts in explaining and promoting our brand have been highly effective,” he said.

On the subject of competition, Özgür Ünlü observed that competition exists in every market and industry, but success depends on differentiation rather than price alone. “The important point is to create differences against competitors. We trust our products, and with Jawad Electric’s support we maintain strong communication with end users,” he remarked. “Global research shows that only a small percentage of customers choose suppliers solely because of price. Product quality and service quality are far more important.” He added

Looking ahead, Özgür Ünlü said Sigma Elektrik expects continued expansion in Pakistan through investments in branding and customer engagement. “Pakistan is a growing market and we believe our share will continue to increase.

He also underlined the company’s commitment to innovation and manufacturing excellence. “We have a separate R&D department in our factory that focuses not only on improving existing products but also on creating new designs,” Özgür Ünlü explained. He added that Sigma Elektrik continues to invest heavily in production automation, with two new automated machines for MCB, RCCB, and MCCB production added this year, another planned by year-end, and two more scheduled for 2027.
