PHVACR Society Lahore Chapter plays active role

The role of Lahore chapter of Pakistan HVACR society has been commendable during the lockdown days in keeping the members engaged. After the lockdown was lifted Lahore chapter started playing on the front foot again. Lahore chapter arranged a grand event of World Ozone Day at Lahore under the leadership of Mr. Muhammad Aamir Chairman Lahore chapter, Mr. Muhammad Afzaal Malik (Hony Treasurer, Mr. Jaffar Raza Haidery (Hony. Secretary) and the team. The event was well attended from members and other relevant people from all over the country.
The event was arranged in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate change, Lahore chamber of commerce and industry and UNDP. Malik Amin Aslam, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on climate change graced the event as Chief Guest. The positive outcome of the event is owed to the tireless efforts of all members of the society who worked day and night to make the event a success. The presentations given by the presenters were so captivating and informative that people still call the society office and ask for those presentations.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Climate change, Pakistan HVACR society arranged 3 day technical workshops in major cities of Pakistan. Lahore Chapter completed 03 Days training (October 14, 15, 16, 2020) on “Good Servicing Practices for the Servicing Technicians in RAC Sector” at Hunar Foundation, Lahore. The trainer belonged to the ministry and all the other support was provided by Pakistan HVACR society.
Role of Pakistan HVACR society Lahore Chapter was also highly admired during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Due to gathering restrictions. Lahore chapter decided to arrange virtual events to keep the members engaged. Webinars were organised on Zoom where the industry leaders were invited to share their insights about how the HVACR industry needs to adopt and what measures can be taken in the future to modify our HVAC systems,” Engineering Post also covered a few of these very informative webinars.
As the universities are now open, again the Pakistan HVACR society is now working to engage student bodies to increase memberships and generate activities from the platform of Society. As around 4 thousand conventions and expos have been cancelled due to the on-going pandemic keeping in view the danger to safety of the public, the Lahore Chapter has decided to delay the expo to Feb-march 2021.
