With the successful completion of phase one of Gwadar free zone, the development of phase 2 has been initiated. PM Imran Khan during a recent visit to Gwadar performed the inauguration of Gwadar free zone phase one and the ground-breaking for Gwadar free zone phase 2 which is spread on an area of 2200 acres.
During the visit PM Imran khan also performed the inauguration of 3 new factories in the area. The development of Gwadar port will be a game changer for the development of the Balochistan province. The proposed airport at Gwadar will be the largest airport in the South East Asia after its completion. 7 to 8 big Chinese investors from Shanghai also participated virtually for the ground breaking ceremony of Gwadar free zone phase 2.
While commenting on the development of Gwadar the Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that over one billion dollars of Chinese investment is expected in Gwadar Free Zone phase two.
Recently a huge development package worth Rs 730 billion has been announced by the federal government for the development of south Balochistan.
