Secretary Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shoaib Ahmad Siddique inaugurated the Digital Pakistan Internship Portal, which is a major milestone to accelerate the growth of IT Industry in Pakistan. Enhancing collaboration and cooperation among Pakistan’s information technology industry, local universities and IT graduates, this portal will enable Pakistani IT companies to work directly with academia to resolve problems. By posting the problems faced by IT companies on Digital Pakistan Portal, it would be a chance for graduates to work directly with companies by solving those issues, thereby improving scope and breathe of Pakistan’s IT ecosystem.
Addressing on occasion, Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddique said “As the present government is committed to the growth of IT industry by recognizing talent, this portal will eliminate tailbacks that hypothetically slows the progress of Pakistan’s IT industry. Engaging youth with healthy activities will enable them to come forward to play role in nation building”.
Additionally, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) also signed MoUs with HEC and Ecommerce Gateway for promotion of Digital Pakistan internship portal in the academia and the industry.
