The terrific condition out of COVID’19 may effect CPEC projects. Dr. Liaqat Ali has said that it might be delayed for two to three months due to pandemic. Due to lockdown, Workers of China have been stuck in their hometowns due to suspension of international flights in January 2020. Normal flights between the two countries are temporarily interrupted, but Chinese technicians have returned to the site by chartered airplanes. Due to precautionary measures, the travellers are placed to time in quarantine to limit their interaction with locals. But Chinese have to spend double time in quarantine due to effective measures to cease virus in Pakistan. The work was in full swing on all projects including the transmission lines, roads and hospitals, before this pandemic. It is expected that this pledge will affect construction industry if it spread faster. However, Chinese and Pakistani governments and peoples have strong willpower to overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 and promote CPEC construction. The governments are in touch and are negotiating on this.
