CDWP approves development projects worth Rs40bn

 

Central Development Working Party (CDWP) under the leadership of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan has approved nine projects, worth Rs 40 billion. The projects are related to Energy, health and Science.

Five projects related to energy were presented and approved in the meeting. These include ‘Establishment of Regional Grid in Gilgit-Baltistan Phase-1,’ worth Rs 4959.187 million, ‘220 Kv Nawab Shah Substation,’ worth Rs 6291.80 million, ‘220 Kv Larkana New substations,’ worth Rs 6449.40 million, ‘Procurement of 220 Kv Mobile Grid station along with the emergency recovery of system and 500 Kv shunt Reactors for Emergency Services,’ worth Rs 6978.95 million, and ‘220 Kv Swabi Substation,’ worth Rs 6399.84 million.

A project related to science & technology namely ‘Pakistan Research Reactor-3,’ worth Rs 4671.050 million, was approved by the CDWP. Another project of science & technology was ‘Establishment of Campus, National University of Technology (NUTECH) Islamabad,’ worth Rs 2878.610 million, also got approval in the meeting.

In the health sector the project titled “Establishment of Safe Blood Transfusion Service Project Phase-11,” worth Rs 863.367 million, was approved in the meeting. Another project titled ‘Establishment of Medical Device Development Canter at National University of Science & Technology (NUST) Islamabad,’ worth Rs 331.12 million, was also approved by the CDWP.
