As result of development agenda planned by provisional government, more
than 617 industries have been opened in KPK since 2014. Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company
(KPEZDMC) has recorded an overwhelming response in its Economic Zones
as investors have shown keen interest in launching industrial units across KP.
In past, Gadoon Amazai, was deliberated as a graveyard for industries, which has strangely reinstated with the establishment of new industrial units with the addition of several mega projects via national and international business groups. Furthermore, the government has taken vigorous steps for the purpose of filling decision related to ease of doing business. Sales tax has been reduced from 15 % to 2% on services for 27 categories, while 19 categories are released from professional tax upon registration with KPPRA.
