On the onset, I would like to congratulate the Pakistan HVAC&R Society on its 25th HVAC&R Expo, which has become a hall mark annual only event for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Allied Industries in Pakistan.
It gives me immense pleasure to witness 100 percent growth in terms of exhibitors and international participants. I don’t think it is unfair to say it is a perfect event where expectations of exhibitors meet demands of visitors.
The event is set to discuss the burning topics of the present time such as renewable energy, efficient use of energy, conservation and need for innovative building materials & construction methods in line with the new HVACR technologies and equipment. Energy conservation must be the buzz word for this exhibition keeping Pakistan in mind where energy is the biggest issue.
While according to a report prepared by Business Wire, Pakistan’s Air Conditioning market is project to grow at a CAGR of 7.2 per cent during 2017-2023. Pakistan is one of the potential markets for air-conditioners in the Asia-Pacific region; led by rising investments, public & private infrastructure development as well as government vision of 2025.
Activity under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would also see huge infrastructure growth and requirement of air-conditioning. Despite political disputes and security concerns, Pakistan air conditioner market is growing at a healthy rate owing to increasing disposable income and expanding middle class population.
Today, housing/ commercial and industrial buildings are rarely constructed without an HVAC unit, and even in places with relatively mild weather. HVAC is just not a method to cool your home in the sizzling summer but it is also to warm it without the negative impact of burning gases or coal.
