Wiring the Future: Monitor Cables’ commitment to quality and innovation

A piece of conversation with Mr. Naveed Boghani, Director Monitor Cables

Established in 2007, Monitor Cables has steadily emerged as a prominent player in the cable manufacturing industry, distinguished by its unwavering commitment to delivering superior quality products. With a discerning focus on customer satisfaction, the company has not only fortified its market presence but has also ventured into new horizons, notably the solar sector, to cater to the escalating demand for renewable energy solutions.

In a recent exclusive conversation with Engineering Post, Mr. Naveed Boghani, the Director of Monitor Cables, articulated the company’s strategic direction and its pivotal role in fueling the burgeoning solar industry in Pakistan. Acknowledging the surge in demand for solar products, Mr. Naveed Boghani highlighted Monitor Cables’ proactive approach in meeting this demand by supplying high-quality cables and wires tailored for the solar sector. “Realising the potentially increasing demand for Solar in Pakistan we have dived into the manufacturing of flexible wires for solar applications, in addition to the introduction of multicore wires to make sure we can cater to the demands of the market,”

Multicore wires, a hallmark innovation by Monitor Cables, epitomize efficiency and versatility in solar installations, offering a streamlined solution for interconnecting multiple panels and inverters within a single cable. Multicore wires are designed to carry multiple signals or power sources within a single cable, simplifying installation and reducing clutter. This can be particularly advantageous for large scale solar projects. By pioneering the production of high-quality flexible and multicore wires, Monitor Cables is providing high end locally produced cables for the electrical industry in Pakistan.

While the company has garnered commendable traction in the southern region of the country Mr. Naveed Boghani explained that they are eyeing the untapped potential of the northern territories of Pakistan for further expansion. With a robust network already established in the south, Monitor Cables is all set to fortify its presence in the north, envisaging the creation of a comprehensive distribution network to catalyse market penetration and foster sustained growth. “We have been focusing on the south region for some time now, and we have established a strong network there and we are growing steadily. However, we are now looking to expand our reach and generate a distribution network in the north region as well,” he said. Monitor Cables has established a distribution office in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province already “Our distribution setup is operational in KPK and from there we will be operating the expansion into the north,” he explained.

One of the core principles of Monitor Cables is its commitment to providing quality products to its customers. Mr. Naveed Boghani emphasized that this philosophy has been ingrained in the company since its inception. “From day one, our business philosophy has been to provide quality products at all costs. We believe that our customers deserve nothing but the best, and we strive to meet their expectations in every way possible,” he said. To ensure that the best quality of production is maintained even when the production volume is high, Monitor Cables recently expanded its manufacturing facility, augmenting production capacity to meet escalating market demands while ensuring uncompromising adherence to quality benchmarks.

While explaining the superior quality of Monitor Cables’ products, Mr. Naveed Boghani elucidated the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into their fabrication. Harnessing 99.9% pure copper and employing electrical grade PVC, the cables are endowed with unparalleled electrical insulation, flexibility, and high voltage elongation properties. Furthermore, the adherence to globally recognized standards such as BS7655 and BS6346 underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to benchmark quality and safety in cable manufacturing.
