UMT Lahore opens CPEC Research Centre

University of Management and Technology (UMT) Lahore has set up a CPEC Research Centre, which was inaugurated by Chinese Council General Lahore Long Ding Don along with varsity’s Rector Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad.

This decision was taken by keeping emerging needs in view and in order to train its faculty and the students for playing their role in the mega project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)

According to the spokesperson of UMT the purpose of establishing the centre is to raise awareness among the students and public regarding CPEC and its various dimensions. Besides conducting in depth research, seminars and workshops, the Centre will focus on connecting Pakistani market with its Chinese counterpart and engaging young entrepreneurs studying at Pakistani and Chinese universities to come up with innovative business plans and new strategies to be applied on CPEC.
