The solar energy traders union of Pakistan (SETUP) is a major organization working for the overall development of solar power and countrywide solar energy distribution. Its main working areas include solar business promotion on all scales, training and providing opportunities for fresh engineers as well as experienced professionals for a better use of the solar energy and quality work in the installation of the solar power system units.
The union came into being in 2016 with a professional team of over 350 qualified members. This esteemed organization aims to provide corporate as well as non-corporate supply of solar energy all over Pakistan by arranging training sessions on solar energy, ONGRID solar system, solar tube well systems, system protection as well as hybrid system. These training sessions were held in various cities of Pakistan and the union proudly became the only organization to hold such training sessions free of cost.
As the year 2019 approached, this union had already spread its flawless work by conducting training sessions in almost all the major cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Karachi and Multan. They also arranged the first ever local exhibition for solar energy development and awareness in Sukkur.
During the pandemic of COVID 19, when almost all the other companies and organizations had their work frozen out, SETUP carried on its training sessions online via the zoom application and continued their journey all over Pakistan. Their recent session was held on the 3rd of September, 2021 at UET in KICKS seminar hall, Lahore. They have also been a part of, as well as organized themselves, various exhibitions with the collaboration of other major organizers.
