After facing many delays due to COVID-19 Quaid e Azam Business Park was inaugurated in the 3rd week of July 2020 by Prime Minister Imran Khan. It is located on M-2, near Sheikhupura
Sardar Usman Buzdar CM Punjab while addressing the ceremony said that a tax relief of 56 billion rupees has been given by the PTI government to encourage investors. The business park is ideally located. It is a mere 6 KM from the nearest railway station, 44 KM from the nearest dry port (Lahore) and 55 KM from the nearest airport (Lahore). A government technical and vocational training institute exists nearby in Sheikhupura, around 15 Km’s away.
According to the official documents Industrial Area will take around 1300 acres (70% of land), roads and passages will take around 411 acres (around 22%), Parks will be spread on around 48 acres (3% of land), Amenities on 88 acres (around 5%) and other commercial areas will be on around 10 acres (0.5% of total land).),
Quaid e Azam Business Park has been declared a smart special economic zone. The government has provided 10 year tax break to the investors. This project, on completion, will provide employment to 250,000 skilled and unskilled individuals. Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, once completed as per its envisaged master plan and business concept, can attract investments of around Rs 250 billion.
