Qitmeer Traders all geared up for upcoming projects in Pakistan

Mr. Qumail Raza, Director Qitmeer Traders talks to Engineering Post

Qitmeer Traders started from a small-scale business in Karachi back in 90’s and has now become one of Pakistan’s largest quality product traders. The company deals in the provision of Power tools, Power tools accessories, Hand Tools & Automotive Assembly line tools. In the past few years, the company has been the market leader in the industry providing the highest quality products at the best prices.

Engineering Post had the opportunity to have a conversation with Mr. Qumail Raza, Director Qitmeer Traders. During the conversation, he said that that owing to the unprecedented demand of quality products in the market his company has been able to get remarkable success in the market. “We are dealing with Four main brands Bosch, Total, DongCheng and Gaocheng. These are of European as well as Chinese origin. All the products we are offering are of the highest quality in their respective competition. In fact, Qitmeer logo’s ‘Q’ has become the symbol of quality tools across Pakistan,” he added. The products from European origin tend to be a little steep in price which can sometimes become a turnoff for some customers. To cater to that segment of the market, Qitmeer Traders has also included some high-end Chinese brands to its portfolio. The general perception is that the Chinese brands might be unreliable. While answering a question regarding this Mr. Qumail Raza said: “Our products from Chinese origin are of the highest available quality. The Chinese manufacturer produces all types of qualities and we are dealing with only the best ones. Being cost effective compared to European and Japanese products, we pass this benefit on to the consumer, combined with strong after sales services,” he explained.

The Pakistani market is rich with potential which had increased tenfold after the recent years’ boom in the construction industry of Pakistan. To cater to the needs of the customers, Qitmeer Traders has established a wide network of dealers all across the country. After solidifying their presence in all major cities of the country, the company is now expanding its network in the peripheral areas as well. “Qitmeer Traders has their dealers’ presence in all major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Mardan, Peshawar, Islamabad etc. Now as the market demand for power tools increases, our products will now be available in peripheral areas as well where the maximum development is expected to be in coming years,” revealed Mr Qumail Raza.

Qitmeer Traders has been working with prestigious companies in Pakistan from various sectors including engineering, manufacturing, textile, shipyard, construction, fabrication, wood-working and automotive assemblers. To name a few top: Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd., Pak Suzuki Motor Co. Ltd., Hyundai Nishat Motor Pvt. Ltd., Pakistan Ordnance Factories, International Industries Ltd., Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd, Qadri Group of Companies, ABS Engineering Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Paragon Constructors Pvt. Ltd. etc.

Currently an import ban has been imposed by the incumbent government on all products to stabilize the current account deficit. This has been resulting in losses for many businesses across Pakistan. While commenting on it, Mr. Qumail Raza said: “The import ban has been causing difficulties for our ongoing plans and distribution network but till now we have been coping with the situation with the stocks we have available. But we are hopeful and preparing ourselves for the better time which is ahead in the near future.”
