Proposals for tariff rationalization presented to Abdul Razak Dawood

A delegation of presidents of different chambers of commerce and industry met with the Prime Min-ister’s Adviser on Commerce, Textile, Industries and Production and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood and presented joint proposals to the adviser for tariff rationalization in upcoming federal budget. Abdul Razak Dawood stated that the government is taking measures and more will be taken to boost investment in the country.
The delegation appreciated the government’s efforts on the successful completion of Pak-Saudi Business Conference and congratulated them on fruitful results of this conference. They said that bringing such a huge investment to the country has been one of the most important steps undertake by this government. The delegation also requested to remove customs duties on raw materials which are used for re-export of products.

The adviser assured the delegation of full support and cooperation to resolve all the issues faced by the industry. He further stated that more reforms will be introduced to bring improvement in industrial sector.
