Peshawar to have CPEC commercial tower

District Nazim, Mohammad Asim Khan, while addressing at Meet the Press Programme in early March organized by Peshawar Press Club said that a CPEC Commercial Tower will be constructed at Peshawar general bus stand and Rs10 billion has been estimated for this mega development project.

District Nazim said that a state of the art CPEC Commercial Tower will be built up at the general bus stand comprising 157 kanal land, while the new bus stand would be constructed on 400 kanal land at Sardar Garhi.

He said the mega development project would be completed either by Chinese company or National Logistic Cell. In this effect, he added an agreement would be signed shortly.

Mohammad Asim said that the district government had initiated development projects worth of billion of rupees. He said a sum of Rs15million would be spent for installation of cameras in examination halls of Peshawar. In this regard, he said an agreement between district government, education department and PTCL will be signed shortly.

The District Nazim said the solarization of more than 11 basic health units had been completed in Peshawar during last year, while from 12 to 13 BHUs would be solarized in the current year.
He said that a food street will be constructed at the cost of Rs600million in historic Namak Mandi in Peshawar. Whereas, he said project of revival of heritage building had so far completed at the same vicinity. He added a parking plaza will be built up at estimated cost of Rs320million in Namak Mandi, which would be completed in six months,
