Pakistan successfully decreased imports by $4bn: Dawood

Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce, Textile, Industry and Production, and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood has told the media that the imports of Pakistan have decreased by more than $4bn which is a massive success for us. He said that this is a clear sign that the country’s economy is improving. We can strengthen our economy by further decreasing imports and increasing exports. He said exports were not increased according to our expectations but we hope that it will increase due to the Free Trade Agreement between China and Pakistan. He also said trade deficit is decreasing and we hope that Pak rupee will strengthen.
