Pakistan-Russia to hold 8th JCC by end of December

According to a report released by the Petroleum Division, Pakistan and Russia are likely to arrange the 8th Joint Coordination committee (JCC) meeting for North South Gas Pipeline (NSGP) by the end of December 2020.

The JCC meeting with Russian delegation will execute the amendments which were proposed in the inter-governmental agreement (IGA) with Russia, shareholders agreement, and incorporation of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).The Russian nominated entity is yet to get on board for the project.

Inter State Gas Systems (Pvt) Ltd is the Pakistani nominated entity, which will implement the project. Nespak will submit its initial feasibility study and land data regarding first parcel of land in January 2021. The ISGS will verify the land data and start land acquisition process in January 2021.

It is pertinent to mention here that NSGP had been renamed to Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline (“PSGP”) Project in November 2020.
