14 Turkish companies participated in this year’s HVACR expo in Pakistan and 13 companies are once again brought here for the joint business efforts. These views were shared by Mr. A. Metin DURUK, Vice Chairman, iSiB, association of Turkish HVACR exporters during his visit to Pakistan while talking to Engineering Post. Mr. Metin was heading the delegation of the Turkish delegation. He was quite satisfied over the B2B meetings held both at Karachi and Lahore with local HVAC companies. “New elected president of HVACR society, Mr. Azeem Ashraf and the leading consultants were part of the meetings to encourage the businessmen from both sides”, he added. He was thankful to the ASHRAE chapters of Lahore and Karachi for their unmatched support towards the joint business sessions of both countries. Replying to a question he said that during our visit we came to know few problems on the way of increased business relationship between Turkey and Pakistan. “One such problem is the business visa for Turkey which is much more difficult for the Pakistani businessmen as compared to the tourist visa which is easily available to the Pakistanis”, he pointed out. Mr. Metin showed firm intentions to raise this issue with the Turkish Government.
Secondly, he said that Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is a long awaited desire of the businessmen of both the nations which should be addressed on the serious grounds and immediately. This, according to him, shall pave the way for a much brighter business relations between Turkey and Pakistan. “We are waiting for the Pakistani business professionals to visit Turkey much frequently to build a strong understanding and cultural ties. He said that being the center of the Europe, Turkey has become the hub for HVAC and plumbing related products where many companies have developed their elite HVAC brands.
“Pakistani companies can also establish their brands in Turkey and for this, we are ready to provide all kind of technical and moral support” he added. He said that Turkey is already helping Russia for the technical strength in HVAC market. He highlighted the fact that Pakistani nationals are seen with great respect by the Turks because of the long lasting and historical relationship; therefore, it is much easier for Pakistani companies to establish their business with Turks. “We wish to make these relationships win –win for both countries” he commented. Mr. Metin said that Turkish companies are not here only to sell their products but also to build a strong and everlasting relationship with Pakistani friends.
Turkey will be hosting ISK-Sodex Expo , an elite forum for the display of HVAC and allied products, covering around 50000 square meter area from 7-10 February 2018 at Istanbul. Mr. Metin cordially invited Pakistani business community specially from HVAC sector to visit the event and to further strengthen business relationship.
