Today, with offices in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, along with regional sales teams serving customers from Karachi to Peshawar, Hameed Automation continues to strengthen its position as a comprehensive solutions provider for Pakistan’s industrial sector.
During an exclusive interview with Engineering Post, Managing Director Arif Iftikhar said the company’s philosophy has always been to evolve with the changing needs of industry while ensuring quality and authenticity remain at the core of every business transaction. “Hameed Automation has been serving the market for almost four decades. We aim to provide reliable and complete industrial solutions backed by genuine documentation, certifications, and technical support,” said Arif Iftikhar.
He explained that a major milestone came in 2010 when Hameed Automation became an authorized distributor of Schneider Electric. Initially, the company focused on low-voltage electrical products before gradually expanding into industrial automation solutions, variable frequency drives (VFDs), energy monitoring systems, and a wider range of intelligent electrical products.
“Our journey with Schneider Electric has been remarkable. We started with LV products and continuously expanded into industrial automation, energy monitoring solutions, VFDs, and several advanced technologies,” said Mr. Arif.
The company’s consistent performance was recognized internationally when it received Schneider Electric’s Excellence Award in 2023. “Receiving Schneider’s Excellence Award in 2023 was a proud achievement for us.” he remarked.
“Our goal is to be a one-stop shop for industrial electrical requirements. Whether customers need automation products, measurement instruments, industrial connectivity solutions, or electrical components, we have the flexibility, inventory, and technical expertise to meet their requirements,” Mr. Arif emphasized.
Discussing another important partnership, Arif Iftikhar said Hameed Automation became associated with Japanese measurement instrument manufacturer HIOKI in 2015. Since then, the company has developed into HIOKI’s sole legal Green Channel distributor in Pakistan, supplying high-quality measurement instruments to industries, laboratories, and testing facilities across the country.
“HIOKI has become an important part of our business. We are the sole legal Green Channel distributor in Pakistan, ensuring customers receive genuine products with complete manufacturer support. One of our major achievements was securing an order worth 10 million Japanese Yen when LUMS laboratories shifted to HIOKI instruments,” said Mr. Arif.
Hameed Automation also maintains a strong relationship with Weidmüller, offering industrial connectivity products, power supplies, terminal blocks, and other industrial components. The company maintains substantial inventories to ensure timely product availability for customers.
Speaking about the company’s future direction, Arif Iftikhar said Hameed Automation is now expanding into the medium-voltage product segment to further strengthen its market presence. He noted that the company’s nationwide sales network enables it to efficiently serve industries throughout Pakistan.
Commenting on the current geopolitical situation and its impact on supply chains, he said “The current situation has certainly created challenges, but we are actively working on new logistics routes. It is only a matter of time before these issues are resolved, and we remain fully committed to ensuring uninterrupted support for our customers across Pakistan,”.
