Oil production falls

During the second quarter of 21, Pakistan’s oil production fell by six percent on year-on-year basis due to decline in production of Tal Block fields like Mardankhel and Makori by 27 percent and 31 percent, correspondingly. Oil production during the first half of fiscal year 21 fell at the same rate of six percent on year-on-year basis while Production from Chanda, Maramzai, and Makori East increased in range of 5-46 percent. Pakistan gas production declined to 4 percent on year-on-year due to decline in flows from KPD, Kandhkot and Qadirpur ranging from 6 to 18 percent. During the first half of fiscal year 21, production declined by 3 percent. In the second quarter of fiscal 21, Kandhkot field’s production declined due to lesser off take from Gencos.
