NPHS initiated in Islamabad

Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHS) has been inaugurated in Islamabad. Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation of NPHS in Zone 4 Islamabad. He made a speech at the inaugural ceremony and described some features of this low cost housing program for the low-income people of Islamabad.

It is being said that NPHS is a joint venture between govt. and Bahria town as the location of the site is same as that of Bahria Hills (Previously Bahria enclave 2) near Angoori road.

Under this housing program, 18,500 housing units will be built over the next one and a half years, out of which, 10,000 houses will be given to the deserving low income strata of the society through computerized ballot.

These housing units will be built within 18 months from the start of the project, and prices will be affordable to the majority of low income families. Bank loan facility will also be available through designated banks.
