Russia’s Deputy Energy Minister Anatoli Tikhinov with Russian delignates held a bilateral meeting with Minister for Energy Omar Ayub Khan and Nadeem Babar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum. Omar khan has stressed to make the North South Gas Pipeline Project transparent, financially viable, which will be a flagship project of cooperation between both the countries predominantly in the commercial and energy sphere. Nadeem Babar briefed about the current government plans about the supply/security of oil-gas in the country. The North South Gas Pipeline will be a stepping stone towards greater cooperation between Pakistan and Russia in the energy sector. The Russian deputy minister thanked the Pakistani side for the gracious welcome given to him and his delegation and termed that North South Gas Pipeline Project is an important milestone in bilateral relations between both countries.
