NHA awards contract to M/s SGEC–AMC for broadening of Petaro-Sehwan road

The National Highway Authority (NHA) Executive Board has approved the award of work for construction of two additional carriageway of Petaro-Sehwan (N-55) to the lowest evaluated bidder, M/s SGEC–AMC joint venture, at the evaluated/ corrected bid price of Rs 1.79 billion. Chairman NHA Jawwad Rafique Malik chaired the meeting.

According to NHA the cost is 37% below the engineer’s estimate of Rs 2.848 billion (based on CSR-2014) with the condition that the amount of performance security shall be increased to two times as per IB-28.4 of bidding data. The Board further directed that rates of three items 405a, 405b and 406c (v) will not be paid by the NHA as the rates have not been quoted by the bidder
