Namal to be‘Pakistan’s first knowledge city’

The prime minister of Pakistan Imran khan performed the ground breaking of Namal Knowledge City phase 1. PM was the chief guest at the occasion.
The Prime Minister, in his address, paid special tribute and expressed deep
gratitude for the commitments made by donors worth millions of dollars. PM Khan shared an animation of the project saying “The Master Plan of my dream to build Pakistan’s first knowledge city.”
The first phase will complete by year 2023 to accommodate 800 students and 50 faculty members. Major construction work on the city is expected to be completed by the year 2027. The Knowledge City will include academic blocks,libraries, technology parks, business centres, dairy farms, primary and secondary schools, sports facilities, a hospital, shopping centres, hotels, and housing colony for staff, faculty and students.
After completion of first phase, more than 10 thousand students from deprived areas would benefit from the Knowledge City. This project would be environment friendly and a state of the art green structure.
