Mumtaz Ali as new EPZA chief

Upon assuming the charge of the Authority, newly appointed Chairman of Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA), Mumtaz Ali Shah held a detailed meeting with the management of EPZA.

Comprehensive presentation was also made to him, which covered different areas of EPZA operations during the introductory meeting. On this occasion, he had detailed discussions with all the departmental heads and looked into the areas where EPZA’s performance could be improved for better productivity.

The Chairman EPZA gave a clear road map for future marketing and management strategy of the organization. The need for improving the performance of EPZA in order to boost exports and special emphasis was made on the development and operation of the zones.

The Chairman insisted that EPZA needs to play a facilitative role for investors. This should be our priority and as a team all the members should be on the same page with hardworking, loyalty, promptness and honesty.

A civil servant from Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) BPS 21, Mumtaz Ali Shah has served in different capacities in Government of Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab, such as Secretary Special Education, Chairman Anti-Corruption, CEO/Executive Director, National Insurance Company Limited, Secretary Information and Archives, Secretary Population Welfare, Secretary Transport and Secretary General Administration.
