KPK in process of receiving foreign assistance of Rs 41812.  282 million

Provincial Government of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa (KP) is in the process of receiving foreign assistance of Rs 41812.282 million for continuing implementation of its number of development projects in different sectors from international financial institutions and banks during current financial year 2021-22.

Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa was estimated to receive Rs 23709.592 million  during last financial year 2020-21 but the province received lesser foreign assistance to the tune of Rs 18772.381 million from its international development partners as per the revised estimates.

Development partners of KP  are Manila, Philippines, based Asian Development Bank, International Development Association (IDA), International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), Italy, Japan, Germany, China and Saudi Arabia.

Development projects being financed by securing loans from foreign agencies and banks include Mass Transit Facility in Peshawar; Balakot Hydropower  project 300 MW  district Mansehra; Provincial Roads Rehabilitation Project; Access to Clean Energy; KP Provincial Roads Project (214 KM); KP Emergency Road Rehabilitation Project; KP Rural Roads Improvement & Rehabilitation Project; Preparation Advance Facility of World Bank proposed KPK Hydro Power Development Project; KP Renewable Energy Project; Integrated  Tourism  Area Development Programme; KP  Cities Digital Transformation Centres; Construction of Infrastructure  Malakand Region Project; Promotion of Olive in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, among others.
