Mian Usman Farooq, Director Jamal PVC Pipe (Pvt) Limited during an exclusive conversation with Engineering Post shed some light on the background of the company. Jamal PVC pipe was basically established in 2006 with the sole objective of producing u-PVC and HDPE pipes in the country and internationally. Since its inception, the company has worked for public, industrial, commercial, private and consumers. This company is basically an off shoot of the parent company “Jamal Group of companies” which were formed in the year 1981. “The founder of the group Mr Haji Muhammad Jamal Din was a thorough professional and was engaged in the business of MS pipes since the inception of Pakistan in 1947. He transformed his ideas into reality in order to establish the local industry in Pakistan” he said.
The parent firm Jamal Group of companies were formed in the year 1981. With competition constantly increasing in the market the company decided not to let the quality of their product decrease in any way. With the objective of providing the best quality product to the customers Jamal PVC pipe decided to manufacture the pipes according to internationally recognised standards of quality. “Very few companies in the market operate according to international standards. Our Company is ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 and PSQCA certified. Hence manufactures its products HDPE Pipes (20mm to 1200mm and UPVC 1/2” to 16”) according to the highest international standards and specifications,” explained Mr Usman.
With the brand now well recognised and known in the market the company recently decided to enhance their manufacturing capabilities to increase their scope of work as well as to provide a wider range of quality products to the customers. Mr Usman while commenting on the matter said. “We have recently increased our pipe manufacturing capabilities. NOW we are going to manufactures HDPE Pipes up to 1600 mm PN 16. This is just another step towards providing all the products to the customers under one umbrella made of the same quality they have come to trust over the years.”
While replying to a question about the basic mission of Jamal PVC Pipe (Pvt) Limited, Mr Usman said, “Our mission is to empower people to think and communicate ideas that will not only benefit our customers but at the same time help Pakistan move forward into the future”.
