Recently Engineering Post had a detailed discussion with Syed Muhammad Saad Aminuddin who is working as Manager Corporate Analytics and Strategy at IMS Electric. Syed Muhammad Saad Aminuddin has more than 12 years of experience under his belt in the power sector and has immense grip on the workings in the industry. He started his career at K-Electric at the transmission and distribution division looking after 132kV and 220kV grid stations and 11kV distribution networks. He has also worked through different portfolios including Project Management, Supply chain Management, ERP and initiatives of digital transformation at Schneider Electric Pakistan. During the conversation he explained the most recent endeavour he is working on at IMS Electric “We are currently working on digitally integrated solutions for Switchgear systems as well as Building Management systems,” he said. When asked about what kind of solutions they are working on and their advantages he explained “As you know IoT works on real time data being gathered through sensors at different places. This can help identify potential issues before they become serious. Due to their potential benefits the market for IoT based solutions is growing extensively and only the companies which will be able to develop and implement a successful digitally integrated solutions will be able to survive in the future,” he said IMS Electric has the remarkable capability to excel in this domain. We are not just limited to conventional switchgear manufacturing rather we are working as a futuristic company and actively plans to amalgamate the digital technology within the Power Systems.
