Federal Industries and Production Division has proposed 21 major and minor developments for their possible inclusion in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the new financial year 2023-24 by the {Planning Commission.
According to the Industries and Production Division sources, these include 17 ongoing and only 4 new projects involving a total estimated cost of Rs 19013 million.
In the PSDP for outgoing financial year 2022-23 also total 21 development projects, 17 ongoing and 4 new development schemes, were listed estimated to cost Rs 19012.937 million.
It could not be ascertained immediately as how many of the ongoing schemes were likely to be completed and whether all four new schemes were also launched by end June 2023 as the Planning Commission has no mechanism in this regard.
Preparations for the new federal budget and PSDP for the new financial year 2023-24 are usually initiated and commence at the appropriate level as month of March of the outgoing financial year commence.
