Engr. Jawed Saleem Qureshi elected again as PEC Chairman

Engr.Jawed  Saleem Qureshi has been elected as Pakistan Engineering council (PEC) Chairman for next three years.

He has been elected on the same seat for the second time while the slots of senior vice chairman was bagged by Engineer Jamsheed Ali Rizvi according to the results of the council polls 2018-2021.

Engineer Dr Fazal Ahmed won the seat of Vice Chairman Punjab and Engineer Muhammad Shafiq elected as Vice Chairman Sindh.

Engineer Shahab Khattak got the seat of Vice Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while Engineer Qazi Rashid was elected as Vice Chairman Balochistan for the second time.

Governing Body’s 19 members have been elected from Punjab, 13 from Sindh, six from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and two from Balochistan.

PEC elections were held on August 12, all over the country. The number of registered voters was 1,76,000 however, only 39,000 exercised their right to vote.

According to PEC act, the council elections are being organized after every three years. The elected body would serve the council from September 2018 to September 2021.
