The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) gave the green light to 9 development initiatives valued at Rs. 355.736 billion across critical sectors such as transport, energy, education, water resources, trade facilitation, tourism, and post-disaster recovery.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
Among the approved projects for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are upgrades to rural accessibility and the Integrated Tourism Development Project (KITE). Additional key projects approved include flood recovery efforts aimed at restoring vital infrastructure in Sindh, a transformation of early learning classrooms in Sindh, and the construction of the Mangi Dam along with a water conveyance system in Quetta.
