CPEC tower to be established in Lahore

Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority Lt-Gen. (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office to discuss the progress of CPEC-related projects.

During the meeting both the leaders agreed to the proposal of constructing China Centre/CPEC Tower in Lahore.

Information desks will be set up in China Centre/CPEC Tower to provide necessary information to local investors about huge Chinese industrial sector under one roof. The CM reiterated that transparency and observance of rules should be ensured for the allotment of industrial plots. Similarly, full implementation on guiding principles must be ensured for industrial development.

The opinion leaders commented the decision of establishing CPEC Tower/China Center as a great attempt to fast track the speed of CPEC projects. They are of the view that the communication hindrances when properly addressed through this centralized set up will bring smooth operations in action.

CM Buzdar said that feasible recommendations should be presented for solution of problems of the industrialists and regulations should be given final shape at the earliest for industrial development as the CPEC has given a new dimension to Pakistan-China relations.

Establishment of this CPEC Tower will further enhance the speed and communication with regard to CPEC related projects.

Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht, Adviser Dr Salman Shah, Chairman Board of Investment Atif Bukhari, Chairman PBIT Sardar Tanvir Ilyas, Chief Secretary, SMBR and Chairman P&D attended the meeting.
