CPEC: Sorab- Hoshab Section Inaugurated

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated western corridor of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Sorab, Hoshab. The decent and respectable ceremony arranged in this regard was well attended by the officials from political and military leadership with Chinese officials and senior professionals. The 449km Sorab, Hoshab section completed at Rs 22 billion. Chairman National Highway Authority Shahid Ashraf Tarrar said completion of western route of CPEC was the first priority of NHA. Western Corridor is divided in 6 sections including Hakla-Dhera Ismail Khan 288km, Dhera Ismail Khan-Zohrab 205km, Zohrab-Quetta 331 KM, Quetta-Sohrab 211km, Sohrab-Hoshab 449 KM, Hoshab-Gwadar 193km.
Western route is passing through less developed areas of KPK and Balochistan. With this route, people living in these areas would get jobs. Few months back Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Rs 13 billion Gwadar-Turbat-Hoshab Road (M-8), a part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Experts are ranking the fast pace of the route as A+ and after every milestone achieved, it appears to them as having brighter chances of the project completion and enjoying benefits well before time.
Hoshab- Gawadar section (193) is also under construction and it is said that the road distance between Quetta to Gawadar will reduce to 7 Hours after the completion of this section. The officials also appreciated the pace of work by the NHA. The quality of roads constructed in these areas are also reported to be of high standards and meant for a longer span as the quality is being supervised seriously at all levels.
