Commenting on the current situations in the country, Mian Ahsan said that government should promote local manufacturing and should devise the mechanism to prefer local assembled goods in PC-1 and PC-2. Replying to a question regarding import of generators from China, Team Power Zone commented that CPFTA 2 should be carefully handled to safeguard the local industry. They suggested that Pakistan should have JV’s with Chinese companies for local production instead of import. They also suggested that Sindh or Punjab should have free zones like Dubai and that will be the game changer.
