4200MW electricity added in the system

The Minister of State for Water and Power claimed that 4,200MW electricity has been added in the national grid system during the past three years while 1,000 MW more electricity would be available in the system after the operation of Chashma power plant and Qadirabad power plant this month.

Ch Sher Ali was addressing a high level meeting of Gujranwala Electric Power Company. He said most of the power projects started by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government are nearing completion whereas some power plants have already been put into operation. He was confident that load-shedding would be eliminated in the country next year.
