1300MW power projects planned at port Qasim

Dr Musadik Malik, spokesman to the Prime Minister has said that two mega energy projects through China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be set up at Port Qasim that would add 1300 MW electricity in national grid.

While talking to a private TV channel he said the main focus of CPEC was energy, infrastructure, development, industrial zones and ports. These were key factors for development and economic growth.

Musadik said industrial zones and airport would be established in Gwadar.

Several power projects would be set up in Thar through the Corridor to meet the growing energy demands, he added.
