TrafoLink (Pvt) Ltd has emerged as one of Pakistan’s leading manufacturers of transformers and power distribution equipment, earning the trust of clients in both local and international markets. Renowned for its commitment to quality, engineering excellence, and reliable products, the company serves a diverse clientele including textile industries, strategic organizations, and major infrastructure projects. Under the leadership of Abdul Rauf Khokhar and Abdul Raheem Khokhar, TrafoLink continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities while introducing innovative solutions for Pakistan’s power sector.
Speaking exclusively to Engineering Post, Abdul Rauf Khokhar described the recent approval of the company’s products by WAPDA as a landmark achievement. He revealed that 13 TrafoLink products, including transformers, medium-voltage (MV) panels, and other electrical equipment, have successfully obtained WAPDA approval after undergoing a comprehensive evaluation process.
He explained that securing these approvals required substantial investment in quality assurance and testing infrastructure. TrafoLink established a state-of-the-art laboratory fully compliant with WAPDA standards and subsequently obtained Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) certification for the facility. The company then underwent multiple rigorous inspections and extensive technical scrutiny before receiving the final approvals. “Every stage of the approval process demanded strict compliance with technical specifications, and we are proud to have successfully met all requirements,” he said
During the discussion he also highlighted TrafoLink’s growing role in Pakistan’s public infrastructure sector. Following its outstanding performance in implementing Safe City projects across 38 cities, the company has now been entrusted with supplying CCTV and telecom cabinets for projects throughout the country. “We have been provided with the opportunity to install safe city cameras all across Pakistan at tehsil and district level,”
Discussing future expansion plans, he revealed that TrafoLink is preparing to enter the electricity metering sector by establishing a dedicated manufacturing plant for WAPDA-approved electricity meters. “This investment will further expand the company’s contribution to Pakistan’s power distribution infrastructure while promoting local manufacturing,” he said
The company is also diversifying into emerging technologies. “In the next phase of expansion, TrafoLink plans to manufacture and install EV bike charging stations across Punjab, supporting the province’s transition toward sustainable transportation,” he explained.
“Another plan that is in the pipeline is the manufacturing and installation of Panic Boxes throughout Punjab. Several high level meeting regarding the framework of the project have been conducted already and the project is ready to be executed very soon,” This will strengthen public safety infrastructure across punjab.
Concluding the discussion, Abdul Rauf Khokhar reaffirmed TrafoLink’s commitment to innovation, quality, and indigenous manufacturing. He emphasized that the company will continue investing in advanced technologies, internationally accredited testing facilities, and engineering excellence to deliver reliable, high-quality products that support Pakistan’s rapidly evolving power and infrastructure sectors.
