UAE’s $10 billion investment includes technology and green energy portfolios

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is said to have committed for a $10 billion investment in the economic sectors of Pakistan. This commitment is said to have happened as a result of a meeting between the Prime Minister Shehbaz Shareef and Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan during a visit to the Emirates.

“President of the UAE His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan assured (Pakistan of) the UAE’s support in all circumstances and made the commitment of investing US $10 billion in multiple sectors,” a statement from Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Office said. However the specificity of the areas where the investment would be in were not satisfied.

It was further said that the PM Pakistan was focused on strengthening and developing progressive partnerships mainly in the fields of technology, tourism and green energy.
