Chairmen and Deans of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organized a ceremony to pay tribute to the outgoing VC Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid for services rendered. Registrar Muhammad Asif, Directorate of Student Affairs Prof Dr Asif Ali Qaiser, Dean Faculties, Administration, representatives of all departments, Teachers, Advisors, Coordinators of all student societies and a large number of students attended the meeting. Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid was lauded for his untiring efforts to uplift the university in the field of research and development. The participants of the meeting resolved to continue the process of improvement in line with the vision of the outgoing VC. It was acknowledged in the meeting that Prof Dr Fazal went above and beyond the call of duty to serve the institution.
While addressing the meeting Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid said, “I am very thankful that Allah Almighty has given me a chance to serve the oldest engineering university of Pakistan. Outcome Based Education System, Labs and infrastructure development is always my top priority. Membership of WA is our major landmark which we achieved during these 4 years. Without your support it was never done. I must say to remember me in your prayers in future.”
During his 4 year tenure, he took steps to improve the university ranking helping it become one of the best universities of Asia. Enhancement of the Quality of Education and promotion of research culture were his top priorities. He was presented with a flower bouquet at the end of the ceremony.
