Tesla Laptops, a Pakistani company that imports slightly used laptops from the United States, has quickly established itself as a reliable provider of cost-effective technology solutions. Originally conceived as a student project in December 2015, Tesla Laptops officially launched in 2021 with the goal of delivering affordable and high-performance laptops to a wide range of customers. “In today’s digital age, laptops are critical for everyone, and downtime can be difficult to manage. Our vision is to provide reliable laptops to everyone, ensuring minimal disruption,” said Tabish Anis, CEO of Tesla Laptops during a recent exclusive conversation with Engineering Post.
The company’s foundation rests on offering cost-effective solutions without sacrificing performance. Used laptops, imported mainly from the U.S., allow for high-quality computing power at a fraction of the price of new devices. “A used laptop can be very cost-effective, with only a minimal decrease in performance,” Tabish Anis added. This approach has resonated with a growing customer base, particularly businesses and individuals seeking high-performance laptops at lower costs. Tesla Laptops has already sold more than 3,000 units, and many companies have placed bulk orders to equip their teams.
As the company expanded, Tesla Laptops realized that corporate clients often required new laptops to meet specific compliance requirements. In response, Tesla Laptops became an official partner of Lenovo, offering new laptops with official warranties. “Today, we provide new Lenovo laptops, and customers can claim their one-year or three-year Lenovo Pakistan warranties through us,” Tabish Anis explained.
In addition to laptops, Tesla Laptops has diversified its offerings to include networking infrastructure. The company has partnered with Premium Line, a leading provider of structured cabling solutions, offering cutting-edge products like Cat-6, Cat-7, and Fiber Optic cables. “Our partnership with Premium Line allows us to provide top-of-the-line end-to-end cabling solution, with no signal drop or latency issues, all backed by a 25-year warranty,” Tabish Anis said. These products are ideal for data centres and businesses requiring high-quality networking infrastructure.
Tesla Laptops is also exploring new areas such as cooling systems and UPS solutions for data centres, recognizing the growing demand for comprehensive IT infrastructure. “With data centres needing cooling and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, we are partnering with Attom to provide these solutions,” Tabish Anis stated. This move will allow Tesla Laptops to meet the evolving needs of modern businesses and data centres.
The company has benefited from strong support from local distribution networks, and amazing customers which include but are not limited to Pak Qatar Group, Fauji Fertilizer Company, Lucky Textiles, Iffco Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. which have trusted on Tesla Laptops’ services and products to grow its business. Looking to the future, the company plans to expand beyond Pakistan, with offices in Riyadh and Dubai in the works. “There is significant potential in Saudi Arabia, and we want to tap into that market within the next five years,” said Tabish Anis, highlighting the company’s vision for international growth.
Tesla Laptops has established itself as a key player in the Pakistani tech landscape by focusing on affordability, reliability, and expanding into new sectors like networking and data centre solutions. With a strong foundation and clear growth ambitions, the company is poised to make an impact both locally and internationally.
