Tariq Electric (Pvt) Ltd., a Pakistani manufacturer of electrical distribution and control equipment, is pursuing opportunities to strengthen its international presence through participation in Nigeria Energy 2026, being held at the Landmark Centre in Lagos from October 27 to 29.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Haris Mughal, the company’s participation reflects a forward-looking approach aimed at expanding its foothold in international markets and developing sustainable business relationships across Nigeria and the wider West African region.
Nigeria Energy, formerly known as Power Nigeria, is one of West Africa’s leading energy-sector exhibitions and conferences. Its 13th edition brings together manufacturers, utilities, investors, project developers and industry professionals to explore developments in power generation, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, energy storage and electricity infrastructure. The event provides an important platform for international companies seeking to establish commercial partnerships and access emerging markets.
Tariq Electric showcased its capabilities as a Pakistani manufacturer of medium- and low-voltage switchgear and electrical distribution equipment. Established in 1993, the company serves commercial and industrial sectors with products including metal-clad and metal-enclosed panels, switchboards, motor control centres, generator control panels and unit substations. Its participation is intended to connect the company with prospective distributors, local representatives, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors, and infrastructure developers in Nigeria and neighbouring markets.
The company’s international outreach also reflects its ambition to translate Pakistan’s domestic manufacturing expertise into export opportunities, building long-term partnerships rather than pursuing short-term commercial gains.
Muhammad Samnoon Basra, Trade and Investment Attaché at the High Commission of Pakistan in Nigeria, played an important role in facilitating Pakistani participants and supporting their engagement with the local business environment. He also hosted a dinner to honor the Pakistani participants. Such institutional assistance is significant in helping Pakistani manufacturers navigate overseas markets, establish contacts and explore opportunities for trade and investment.
Tariq Electric’s participation underscores the importance of international exhibitions in promoting Pakistani engineering capabilities and strengthening industrial links with African economies. As West African countries continue to focus on improving electricity infrastructure and expanding access to reliable power, the region offers potential opportunities for manufacturers of electrical distribution equipment.
Through its presence at Nigeria Energy 2026, Tariq Electric aims to build greater international visibility, develop commercial relationships and establish a stronger platform for future growth in overseas markets.
