STZs opened in KPK

Special technological zones were announced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during a ceremony hosted by the special technological zones authority (STZA) and the Pak – Austria Fachochshule: Institute of applied sciences and technology (PAF IAST). Prime Minister Imran khan was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Chief Minister KPK Mahmood Khan, Federal minister Pervez Khatak, Asad Umar and Umar Ayyub and Mr. Shahbaz Gul were also a part of the ceremony.

The PAF IAST and KPITB are determined to create an environment for knowledge and education, expand the opportunities for youth employment and transform the economic sector through technology. STZA was also awarded the first zone developer license in KPK and KP information and technology board was also awarded the license for Pakistan digital city in Haripur. The STZs will prove extremely beneficial in the opening of youth avenues, development of advanced technological skills and creation of business opportunities as well as reception of international investments. A technology park was also developed by the PAF IAST to increase the chances of further foreign investments and opportunities in Pakistan.
