RLNG Imports Fall 27% in FY 2026

Report by Engineering Post

Pakistan’s imports of Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) declined 27 percent year-on-year (YoY) basis in FY 2026 to the lowest level since FY 2018.

According to a research study conducted by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) in this regard, the country had received 664 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of RLNG in FYy2026 compared to 914 MMCFD in FY 2025.

Pakistan had imported 82 RLNG cargoes during FY2026, down from 117 cargoes in the previous fiscal year. This decline occurred despite a fall in average Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas prices. The average Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas  price had dropped 8% year-on-year to $ 8.38 per MMBTU in FY 2026 from $ 9.13 per MMBTU in FY 2025.

The Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas imports had remained disrupted on a monthly basis as no cargo was imported during April 2026.
