Railway to set up Marquees and Food streets on its Land

Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided to set up Marquees and Food streets across the country on its vacant land. This move is aimed at compensating for the Rs 5 billion the institution is bearing every month due to closure of rail operations.

Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad while addressing a press conference said tha around 1000 Marquees will be set up on vacant lands of Pakistan Railways and food streets would be established all across the country.

All the divisional superintendents have been instructed to make relevant preparations for this.

The railways minister further said that Pakistan Railways will be up and running again within 24 hours as soon as the order is given by PM

PSO and Attock Petroleum would be the supplier of oil for railways and all trains would be run on 50 percent booking during the quarantine.
