Plans to take Karachi Chapter to New Heights

Pakistan HVACR society has been serving the nation for more than two decades now. Since its inception in 1994 the Pakistan HVACR society has been the most reliable and up to date source of information for everything related to HVACR in our country. In addition to the dissemination of knowledge the society also works diligently for skill development of students especially in the underdeveloped areas of the county.

Engineering Post had a candid conversation with Engr. Zeeshan Ahmed Siddiqui, the newly elected Chapter Chairman for Karachi region, to get to know his vision and how he plans to proceed further. Engr. Zeeshan is a thorough professional and has been working with leading Air-conditioning Brand and industry since long time. With his experience and expertise he can steer the Karachi chapter to new heights. While speaking about his plans for the future he said “My prime focus will be the facilitation of students for now. We are trying to increase student coordination and provide training & skills to the HVACR professionals. Moreover the society has successfully developed labs to in educational institutes all across the country to ensure that even the underprivileged students have access to the best and latest equipment and facilities. Currently we are planning to build two more labs in Karachi,” he added.

Pakistan HVACR society has undertaken a remarkable feat which is the development of skill development centres in different parts of Pakistan. These centres are extremely beneficial for the students where they can learn about the HVACR technology and become skilled in the area “This is a service by the society to the nation and we have plans to build more as well” revealed Engr. Zeeshan during the conversation. He appreciated the efforts of founder members of the PHVACR Society as well as Ex-President Khurram Malick and Chairman Fahad Afridi to give the new shape to the society. The new president Mr. Ahmad Nawaz is supporting and guiding the chapters and continuing the strategies as well as adding new ideas to lift the image of PHVACR Society.

During the conversation Engr. Zeeshan Ahmed Siddiqui emphasised on creating awareness about HVACR and its importance in our lives “We have to understand that HVACR is not just related to cooling your room or keeping your food fresh, it is directly related to the environment as well as energy. If any HVACR unit starts using excessive electricity it will directly affect the environment because production of electricity releases CO2 in the atmosphere,” he said. To create awareness and to train the professionals already working in the sector Pakistan HVACR society organises skill development workshops for professionals in collaboration with Ministry of Climate Change. “We teach them how to exhaust the gases, and other steps essential to reduce the environmental effect related to the HVACR industry,” he added.

Engr. Zeeshan Ahmad Siddiqui the new Chapter Chairman for Karachi shared his resolve to increase modernization and ensure that the latest trends are followed by the consumers. “We will make sure that the latest trends in HVACR are followed and create awareness about energy efficient technologies, so that their acceptance in increased in the country,” he said.
